Tonight at church Monica started out worship with the song Holy, Holy, Holy. God's presence showed up when we began to sing out. This hymn is very sacred, very powerful. 150 years later and this song is still relevant. It has been sung by numerous artists: Keith Green, Hillsong United, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, John Starnes, Bing Crosby, and tonight by Monica Smith at Living Hope Assembly of God.

We sing to you Almighty God. Completely holy, three times holy. The triune God. You are merciful. I need that, as sinful as I am. At the same time you are mighty. There is no weakness in you. You are holy, complete, you lack nothing. You are the triune God. You were not lonely needing to create man, you were completely holy, holy, holy in your triune nature. Father, Son, Holy Spirit, complete, holy, holy, holy. You do not have an ego that needs people to worship you. We need to worship because we are incomplete but you God are holy, holy, holy.

Excellent reminder of God's holiness. How awesome to serve such a holy and awesome God! Not one made of clay, wood, or who can not meet my needs and hear my petitions. How marvelous He truly is!
