The Sleeping God

Mark 4:35-40

The storm is raging
God is asleep
I am afraid
Maybe I should wake God up

The storm is crashing
God is asleep
I am panicked
Why doesn't God wake up?

The storm is screaming
God is asleep
I am terrified
That's it, I am waking God up.

Peace
Rebuked
What did I do wrong?

Oh, I did not realize
That sleeping God
Was never not in control of the storm

11 Qualities of Potential Leaders

Look for these qualities when you are looking for leaders.

1. Concern/love for others
2. Not a complainer.
3. Teachable and open to suggestions.
4. Demonstrates the ability to lead through an excellence in following.
5. Reliability
6. Interest (in the system, the organization, people in the organization)
7. Character
8. Potential
9. Positive attitude
10. Confidence
11. People skills

Ask God to develop these qualities in you to make you a better leader. Go after these qualities personally to become a leader.

Optimists are nostalgic about the future.

Sometimes I daydream about some good time I had from years past. These thoughts will bring warm, good feelings to me.

What if we thought about the good things that are going to happen in the future instead of worrying about the future? Would this bring up the same feelings? What if I thought about a promise of God that I believe is going to happen? How would I feel? What if I was hopeful about tomorrow? How would I feel? How would you feel?
