Reason to Sing

I am a failure on the run,
I lost my job and have lost the trust of my son.
I am weary, should a king weep,
It is only by the grace of God that I find any sleep.
They curse me, they stone me,
But I just say let them be.
I climb this mountain with a reason to sing,
My God, my shield, glory He will bring.
I walk through this valley I sing from this holy hill,
This same path my God will walk to accomplish His will.
Be gentle with my son, break my enemies jaw,
Pay the price of death demanded by the law.
I sing to the lifter of my head,
I will not fear, I will not dread.

II Samuel 13-18, Psalms 3

I love you.
