Invite Jesus

John 2 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; ² and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. ³ When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus *said to Him, “They have no wine.” ⁴ And Jesus *said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.” ⁵ His mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Why did Jesus go to this wedding?

Not to turn water into wine.  Not to save the couple from social embarrassment.   Not even to start his public ministry.  Although he did all these things.

He went to this wedding for the simple fact that he was invited.  The couple knew Jesus, liked Jesus, and wanted Jesus at their wedding.

Amazing how when Jesus is invited to a party miraculous things happen.  Water gets turned into wine and the party keeps going.

Why don't we start our day with just inviting Jesus into our lives.  Jesus your invited into our homes, work, marriages, families, and friend situations.  When we do that let's watch what amazing things he can do.
