7 Reasons I Loved This Day

1. The Weather is perfect. Thank you LORD. 75 and a nice breeze, need I say more.

2. My wife brought me a cup of coffee, while I was sitting in the shade reading a book. Thank you dear.

3. The book I am reading is life out loud funny, entertaining, and educational. Now that's for a good book. Lonesome Dove is the name of the book.

4. I saw most of my neighbors this morning. I have really good neighbors. It is easy to love thy, for me. We took the next door neighbors, Anna and Laura, with us to the library this morning. Went with our neighbor, Jenn, to the farmer's market.

5. Talked to Johnny and Sara Ellen on the phone. They are from South Carolina. They are always cheerful, they will cheer up any one's day. I told Sara Ellen about my book, and she was excited.

6. I am sitting in one my favorite places on Earth as I write this blog. I am under the maple tree in my backyard on a blanket with Monica and Elizabeth. We just had a nice picnic. Good food, good weather, and my two favorite girls.

7. Finally, the reason I loved this day is, this day is only half over. Maybe the best is yet to come. It will have to be really good to beat my day so far.

The Good of This Easter Weekend

So what good came from this Easter weekend.

1. We learned real peace comes through Jesus who is Lord of all, that's good.

2. Jesus purposely went from place to place doing good, and calls the church to do the same, that's good.

3. We had 18 kids at our Easter Egg Hunt, that's good.

4. Corynn Grace joined us for the first time at church, that's good.

5. Communion was really special, many were eager to partake, that's good.

6. We had several first time guests, that's good.

7. There was an atmosphere of joy and unity, that's good.

8. We gave a Bible to someone who did not have one, that's good.

9. I had cheesecake for dessert today, that's good.

Good of the Day

Taste and see that the Lord is good.

1. Today I took my daughter to school in a sled, it was good and fun. And tiring.
2. I had a day off, that is good.
3. I had some Jett's pizza, it was good.
4. I got to hold my wife's hand, good.
5. I got N.T.Wright's book "Justification" from the library, I hope it's good.
6. Got to pray for Living Hope today, good.
7. Got to pray for a friend and his family today, good.

Good of the Day

Looking for the good and seeing God.

1. Elizabeth has cracked me up today. I told her when you throw a ball if you aim small you miss small, she said, "Well, I aim big and hit big.
2. I had breakfast today with a good friend.
3. My snow boots got a hole in them, bad. I got a nice new pair of boots, good.
4. I prayed through Living Hope's prayer list, good.
5. Elizabeth needs $8 more to buy a trampoline. I almost just gave it to her, bad. But instead I am making her work for it, good.
6. God has really spoken to me through Isaiah 1:17. Learn to do good. Apparently it is not natural, you must learn to do good. Seek justice, help the oppressed, the poor, the orphans, the widows.
7. Monica looks beautiful in her new hat, all cute, that's good.
8. Hopefully Alabama will lose tonight, that would be good.

Good of the Day

The things that were good today that helped me see and praise God.

1. I saw family today in Canada.
2. We had a safe trip. Nothing exploded on Ben's car.
3. My wife, daughter, and I had fun together.
4. Good time reading Leviticus and Psalms.
5. South Carolina lost their bowl game, but I didn't get to see it.
6. Spent some quality time praying for others.
7. Great meal at The Crackle Barrel.
